Good day,

I think title pretty much says it all, thunderbird (lightning) alarms will not work (or other sounds effects) as this does need package esound to work.

my useflags: alsa dbus lightning libnotify startup-notification.

Guess esound should be added to ebuild (preferably assigned to alsa USE flag?).

Marking as resolved->obsolete as this version of thunderbird is no longer in portage.
