The xcdroast ebuild specifies a dependency on cdrtools 1.11.20 but
<http://www.xcdroast.org> recommends using the latest cdrtools 1.11.24 to
resolve certain bugs.  xcdroast with cdrtools-1.11.24 works fine on my system.

There ya go updated files. The tar files include updated ChangeLog's and digest files... extract them into /usr/portage/app-cdr/xcdroast/ and /usr/portage/app-cdr/cdrtools/. I've tested them and they work.
