Yes, please update your gcc gcc 4.1.2 is marked stable in the tree. i thought this means it is allowed to be used at least in the sense that newer dbus ebuilds have correct dependencies ? Not sure about maintainer policy on this, I saw some other bug reports to be closed in the past due old gcc versions failing to compile recent apps. Only latest stable toolchain (in this case, gcc-4.4 series) is supported So no, there will be no extra sanity checks in ebuilds, you simply can't select old gcc and expect things to work |
