Description Michael Ihde 2004-01-04 12:56:44 UTC
Simili is a VHDL/verilog package similiar in function to modelsim. It could be placed in the same directory as the modelsim ebuild (app-sci). It is binary only, but is available with a limited freeware license.

Upstream still exists but it seems the package in question has not been updated for a long, long time - the version available on the Web site is 3.1 Build 16. On the other hand, we do not seem to have modelsim in the tree any more.

Given that we are talking about a very old binary-only package, chances are pretty high that it wouldn't work at all on a modern Gentoo system even in native 32-bit mode. With that in mind, is there still any interest in adding this to the tree? If not, we shall close this ticket in 30 days.
