Description Justus Ranvier 2011-06-11 14:13:16 UTC
The git repository that this ebuild uses frequently lags the most current version of the software and at the present time is older than the minimum required version to connect to the network.

Right now there is no ebuild in the tree that will install a version of Freenet that is recent enough to connect to the network.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Try to operate a Freenet node that's continuously online
Actual Results:
Even if you set up a cron script to emerge freenet-9999 daily your node will periodically be too old to connect to the network for several days

Expected Results:
You should be able to keep any software up to date with a -9999 ebuild

I have added the live ebuild on user request, but it is a live ebuild, so depending on upstream, it may not build, may be too old, since upstream uses some other branch for latest changes or do anything else. There is not much i can do at that part.
I have now added freenet-0.7.5_p1377 to the tree as stated in bug 370567, so there should be again a version in the main tree, that can connect to the freenet network.

Sometimes I hack this ebuild to use "freenet-staging" instead of "freenet-official". freenet-staging is more up to date.
