1) open a window in any virtual desktop
2) press "show desktop" near the "K" button
3) try to change virtual desktop

You won't change virtual desktop; instead, "show desktop" will go off.

Still noted in 3.2.2, not sure if it's a bug or done on purpose.  However, it's an upstream issue and should be filed with bugs.kde.org.
