this is needed for libvirt and virt-manager to correctly support kvm. not using libvirt and virt-manager but can confirm that these files are missing... I can confirm this on two ~amd64 hardened no-multilib systems. I was able to get the libvirt vms up after virsh edit ... and changing the emulator. But virt-manager is complaining about missing kvm support when creating new vms. Here the same, i've done a Downgrad for the first time, until the bug is fixed. I experienced the same problem. I think it's because in the ebuild function src_configure(), softmmu_targets variable is defined as local, therefore it is not accessible in the src_install() function and pkg_postinst(). However I'm not expert in this area. Temporary workaround can be found here: http://janusz.slota.name/blog/2011/05/bash-usrbinkvm-no-such-file-or-directory-on-gentoo/ Looks like bug #343951 is back again. Same issue, same fix. Fixed in 0.14.1-r1. |
