Hi,

when I compile dietlibc 0.33 on GCC 4.4.5 (hardened config) it segfaults. I recently switched to vserver enabled kernel so it might be related to kernel configuration change.

I tried to reboot into original kernel, switched off the hardened profile to default profile, rebuild the whole system and everything worked fine. I rebooted into the vserver enabled kernel (tried to rebuild - everything was still OK), switched back to hardened profile and recompiled the system, the bug is back.

When I switch to vanilla configuration of gcc (gcc-config), compilation works fine. I reportes this as dietlibc's bug but I've been told to report it as GCC bug.

Probably not helping so much but I can build it using FEATURES="-sandbox -usersandbox" which is not really the best solution.

Can't this but be link to 414629 ?
