TSDNS runscript
as i don't think that running two binaries from one runscript is acceptable, im adding a seperate runscript for it.

ebuild patch
this patch removes some unneeded comments from the ebuild, and also it does install TSDNS support.
we need to keep the ini file for TSDNS in the folder of the binary for now, i have proposed a inifile command line option upstream, they might add that in rc2, so this stuff can go to /etc at a later date.
also i did not add a seperate bash script for TSDNS as it does not seem to need LD_LIBARY_PATH hackery for me. (no external dependencies)
also i don't think usflagging tsdns makes much sense, if you think otherwise please say so :)
Please note that 3.0.0-rc1 requires >=qt-core-4.7, so ebuild patch should be updated. See full ebuild I used to successfully update. Created attachment 275221 [details]
3.0.0_rc1 ebuild
Please add an updated server ebuild asap - this great piece of software annoys every connecting *user* that the server is not up to date. TeamSpeak 3 Final Is Here! We are proud to announce the release of TeamSpeak 3.0 Final. This officially brings open beta to a close. This also marks a huge milestone for us, and we want to thank everyone involved in supporting, testing, and providing feedback since TeamSpeak 3's initial public release. http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=newsarchive&ident=20110810 Created attachment 283449 [details]
3.0.0 final ebuild
First of all, a big thank you to Robert and Mageslayer for providing ebuilds. Great work guys! There's a new version of TeamSpeak already (http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthread.php/67540-TeamSpeak-3-Client-3.0.1-available). Perhaps the ebuild could be updated to this version (maybe even a simple rename will do - I haven't checked, but will do soon) and maybe even pushed into portage. Thanks in advance. Updated ebuild for 3.0.1
I just tried renaming the ebuild (plus a quick "sed -i s/3\.0\.9/3\.0\.1/ <ebuild>") and emerged. Worked a treat.
I took the liberty of changing SRC_URI a bit. A replaced the hard coded version number in the path to "${PV/_/-}", as in the filename.

Summarized patch for ebuilds
Hi Folks,
i created an patch which summarizes all previous made patches (client as well as server)
Client Version 3.0.1
Server Version 3.0.0
HOWTO Use:
cd /usr/portage/media-sound
patch -p1 < /path/to/teamspeak3-final_ebuild.patch
now ebuild teamspeak3....ebuild digest and you should be good to go.

If your patches are different than other full ebuilds here, you may want to upload those too. Created attachment 286289 [details]
Ebuilds and changed files
As requested the ebuilds and the changed files. For convenience I put them into an archive all together
3.0.2 is out. anyone tried it already? Are these ebuilds still maintained? I mean the
versions (both {server/client}]in portage are still the
release candidates while the final versions are out for month now.
"ssuominen" is the author of the client-ebuild in the portage-tree. "trapni" checked in the server-ebuild. This bug has been assigned to trapni@gentoo.org. Maybe you can ask on IRC wether you can get a contact to them or maybe write them a mail directly. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 349643 *** |
