Since ktorrent team refused to set custom torrent IDs, they recommend to modify the source instead to spoof.

Doing that is as simple as replacing a string... I was wondering if the ktorrent ebuild could add this feature.

Do you think that the sentence you wrote make any sense?

I seriously have no idea what feature you request or how should we implement it.

This is really something upstream should implement as a feature, and not something we should patch in and maintain with each version etc. as that would be too much overhead.
I'm sorry, but I'm closing this as WONTFIX. If you have a suggestion on how to implement this in a simple to use and simple to maintain way, then go ahead and reopen. Otherwise, please go to upstream with it.
