It's yet another instance of why using '-DG*_DISABLE_DEPRECATED' in release tarballs is a bad idea.

Just for completeness - what's your version of gtk+:2 ?

it's gtk+-2.24.3, USE="cups vim-syntax (-aqua) -debug -doc -examples -introspection -test -xinerama"

I've tried homebank-4.4, using the same ebuild. No troubles, and it seems to work. Maybe a version bump can solve the issue.

Same here. 4.3 does not build.

I have built 4.4 from website - http://homebank.free.fr/public/homebank-4.4.tar.gz - and it works.

I am facing the same issue. Portage only has 4.3 in the tree, if this has been fixed in 4.4 an ebuild would be appreciated.
