That's because it installs only 32bit plugin. You need to use nspluginwrapper or downgrade adobe-flash. Same here. I masked the last adobe-flash. confirming this. doesn't work on amd64 system at all. works for me on amd64 with icecat. [ebuild R ] www-plugins/adobe-flash-10.2.159.1_p201011173 USE="64bit (multilib) -32bit -bindist -vdpau" (In reply to comment #4) > works for me on amd64 with icecat. > > [ebuild R ] www-plugins/adobe-flash-10.2.159.1_p201011173 USE="64bit > (multilib) -32bit -bindist -vdpau" SOrry, bad info attached: [ebuild R ] www-plugins/adobe-flash-10.3.181.14 USE="kde (-vdpau)" works for me on x86 with firefox and [ebuild R ] www-plugins/adobe-flash-10.3.181.14 USE="(-kde) -vdpau works for me on amd64 with icecat try to recompile nspluginwrapper yep, recompiling nspluginwrapper did it for me. The flash plugin already pulls in nspluginwrapper, so the question is: why did recompiling it work? When you re-emerged nspluginwrapper, did it upgrade to a newer version or just recompile the same one you already had? (In reply to comment #7) > The flash plugin already pulls in nspluginwrapper, so the question is: why did > recompiling it work? No. If flash is already installed does not pull in nspluginwrapper (In reply to comment #8) > (In reply to comment #7) > > The flash plugin already pulls in nspluginwrapper, so the question is: why did > > recompiling it work? > No. If flash is already installed does not pull in nspluginwrapper When you ugprade to www-plugins/adobe-flash-0.3.181.14 it DEPENDs on nspluginwrapper, so it forces it to be instaled. However, I did just find a bug in the ebuild that was not automatically invoking nspluginwrapper like it was supposed to. Fixed in www-plugins/adobe-flash-10.3.181.14-r1 |
