Tor has a new unstable branch 0.2.3 with first release 0.2.3.1. Announcement can be found on https://lists.torproject.org/pipermail/tor-talk/2011-May/020313.html

Please add an ebuild for that version. I suggest not keywording it, so that current users of 0.2.2-alpha branch may stay on that, but allow for explicit usage from more adventurous users.

An ebuild has been commited to portage. I'll just contact the maintainer (blueness) directly for issues with the ebuild.
