This appears to happen because the termcap path changed. The solution is to stop all your terminal applications that use vte, and restart them. With gnome-terminal it's not enough to just start a new one because that will attach to the already running process. killall gnome-terminal and restart a new instance of the application. Older upgrades did this as well, not a bug. *** Bug 370365 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I hunted this down to make sure I wasn't reporting the same issue over again because I just experienced it as well. I would recommend including a notice for users post-install since restarting *all* gnome-terminal processes probably isn't apparent to a lot of people. *** Bug 373693 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
