Confirmed, patch allows for compilation successfully. on AMD64. Thanks, Helmut! Actually, noticing some oddness since it was installed. Whenever I open a new gnome-terminal instance (be it via a new window OR tab), i get this as the first line: *** VTE ***: Failed to load terminal capabilities from '/etc/termcap' I can type into the instance, but it does not interpret enter- so I can't actually run any commands. Rolling back to x11-libs/vte-0.28.0-r200 did not resolve this issue. Reinstalling x11-terms/gnome-terminal(-2.32.1) did not resolve this issue. I have not tried a GNOME/X restart yet. Worked fine after an X restart, and- furthermore- I was able to emerge 0.28.0-r300 with no ill effects this time. I suspect I was using a stale environment/session in which some updates didn't take effect yet. :) False alarm! Thanks again, Helmut. Hope it gets committed soon. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 365555 *** |
