When upstream decided several months ago to stop using libtool, they failed to clean up automake files properly. The fix is in the upstream repository - '-avoid-version' needs to be removed from that Makefile.am Yes it's fixed in 1.0.3 renaming ebuild and patch work to emerge it. Attaching a folder for overlay. (In reply to comment #5) > Created attachment 270809 [details] > directory for overlay gnome-mplayer/ gnome-mplayer/metadata.xml gnome-mplayer/files/ gnome-mplayer/files/gnome-mplayer-1.0.3-implicit_declaration.patch gnome-mplayer/ChangeLog gnome-mplayer/gnome-mplayer-1.0.3.ebuild gnome-mplayer/Manifest What is that exactly? Why is it here? Why not attach a simple diff of everything that should change, leaving out everything that should not. I simply included the folder for anyone who might have gotten stuck with this issue. The ebuild was nothing more than a rename and the patch was renamed to match the new version. Although most gentoo users are capable of this there are some newbies who appreciate a simple quick fix to a problem. Removing such an attachment on your part is ARROGANT!!! only correct. 1.0.3 in tree Thank you!! |
