Yes, this is a problem with sandbox, if you disable it you don't get the errors. It's trying to read/write something in /dev I think. From the previous version, I have added the warning: [33;01m*[0m It is known that the stackoverflow [33;01m*[0m tests will fail with sandbox enabled. I don't think I can fix this. I resolve it as CANTFIX. If you still want me to take a look, please reopen. Thanks for reporting. It doesn't matter if sandbox is enabled or not. Version 2.9 works on HPPA and 2.10 does not. What do you mean? That the 2.9 tests pass with sandbox enabled? Check also bug #350014 . This is possible dup of that one. (In reply to comment #3) > What do you mean? That the 2.9 tests pass with sandbox enabled? What ever gave you the idea the sandbox has anything to do with this bug? Created attachment 270007 [details]
2.9 build log, hppa, fails
Sandbox disabled... 2.9 is affected too, apparently.

Oh, on another, better supported platform, the tests don't fail even in the sandbox. You may want to reconsider closing the QA bug about these tests (as well as treating this bug report separately).
Ok, you got my attention now. Here (x86 and amd64) it fails with FEATURES+=sandbox and passes tests with FEATURES-=sandbox . Let me do some more testing in the following days and get back to you. *** Bug 350014 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** It also fails for me on x86 with sandbox enabled. Will attach build log in a minute. same on arm. Removing the sandbox check from src_test() the two stackoverflow tests now skip for me on hppa with sandbox-4.13. The other tests pass. Maybe we should remove the sandbox check from src_test()? The bug has been closed via the following commit(s): https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=dd50481730ca188d5b9b2f038f50339fde936cab commit dd50481730ca188d5b9b2f038f50339fde936cab Author: Chema Alonso Josa <nimiux@gentoo.org> AuthorDate: 2018-04-24 16:44:18 +0000 Commit: Chema Alonso Josa <nimiux@gentoo.org> CommitDate: 2018-04-24 16:44:45 +0000 dev-libs/libsigsegv: Skip stack overflow tests Closes: https://bugs.gentoo.org/363503 Package-Manager: Portage-2.3.24, Repoman-2.3.6 .../libsigsegv-2.12-skip-stackoverflow-tests.patch | 13 +++++++++ dev-libs/libsigsegv/libsigsegv-2.12-r1.ebuild | 34 ++++++++++++++++++++++ 2 files changed, 47 insertions(+) |
