Not sure if we want to do this. After all they are in one tarball... Every new localization is ~1000 new files installed into /usr/share/locale/. I think, it's better to avoid such big number of unnecessary files. In my opinion this can only be resolved if upstream would package the variants seperatly. The only solution would be to disable the variants, but i think there many people who doesnt want to loose their variant speaking kde. Maybe a topic for next gentoo kde team meeting? We decided to stick with the upstream tarballs. If you want this realy happen, file a bug to kde.bugs.org that the variants released in seperate tarballs. |
