Is this still a problem with current versions of hplip? xsane now shows the following and keep failing at this resolution: Failed to start scanner: Error during I/O The following is shown in messages: Jan 25 10:17:23 belkin4 xsane: io/hpmud/hpmud.c 214: io/hpmud/hpmud.c: service_to_channel(): sn=HP-LEDM-SCAN Jan 25 10:17:23 belkin4 xsane: io/hpmud/hpmud.c 214: io/hpmud/hpmud.c: service_to_channel(): sn=HP-LEDM-SCAN Jan 25 10:17:23 belkin4 xsane: io/hpmud/hpmud.c 214: io/hpmud/hpmud.c: service_to_channel(): sn=HP-LEDM-SCAN Jan 25 10:17:24 belkin4 xsane: scan/sane/http.c 189: timeout reading data sec_timeout=1 Jan 25 10:17:24 belkin4 xsane: io/hpmud/hpmud.c 214: io/hpmud/hpmud.c: service_to_channel(): sn=HP-LEDM-SCAN Jan 25 10:17:24 belkin4 xsane: scan/sane/http.c 345: invalid http_status=500 Jan 25 10:17:24 belkin4 xsane: scan/sane/http.c 349: dumping len=194 Jan 25 10:17:25 belkin4 xsane: scan/sane/http.c 189: timeout reading data sec_timeout=1 I am running 3.11.12-r1 I guess hplip-3.12.2 does not fix it? It's the same :( I recently bought a HP Photosmart 6510 with fax capabilities. I am not able to reproduce your problems. Scanning with xsane works fine here even with high resolutions. I don't have now that HP printer, then, I cannot test :S |
