Description Gavrilov Maksim 2011-03-30 18:46:15 UTC
After dev-libs/mpfr was updated to 3.0.0_p3, dev-libs/redland-1.0.10-r1 needs to be rebuilt, but it fails to.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Update dev-libs/mpfr to 3.0.0_p3
2. Run `emerge @preserved-rebuild` as portage asks
Actual Results:

Comment 1 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-03-30 18:54:46 UTC
Sorry but sound@ is no longer intrested in redland-1.0.10* series, but only 1.0.13.

dev-libs/soprano's lack of support is the only reason why 1.0.10 is still available, therefore this bug belongs to the KDE maintainers

If this bug is reproducable with 1.0.13, then please reassign it to us. Thanks!

and post emerge --info too, intrested in your libtool version.

dev-libs/redland-1.0.13 fails to compile with the same error.
Comment 5 Gavrilov Maksim 2011-03-30 19:41:54 UTC
By the way, dev-libs/redland is pulled in by libreoffice on my Gentoo, which I have Gnome installed on. So no need to bother KDE team.
Comment 6 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-03-30 20:55:15 UTC
Does this work?

EXTRA_ECONF="--without-included-ltdl" emerge -1 redland

No, it gives exactly the same error.
Comment 8 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-03-31 15:15:05 UTC
OK. It builds the libltdl/ directory even though it doesn't use it, that --without-included-libltdl was to try and avoid building it at all.
But it shouldn't fail to build it anyway, nothing in your output indicates a reason why it would fail like that either.

Perhaps you just have local copy of ltdl.h somewhere in eg. /usr/local/include...

Will wait for you to debug it out, not reproducible bug
Comment 9 Gavrilov Maksim 2011-03-31 19:34:10 UTC
I have only two copies of ltdl.h which are:

  /usr/include/ltdl.h
  /usr/share/libtool/libltdl/ltdl.h

They both belong to sys-devel/libtool-2.2.10

So I tried to emerge libtool, and it failed with the same error.
I studied ltdl.h, and it seems it can't initialize <dirent.h>, which belongs to glibc.

So I'm closing this bug as invalid because it's not about redland.
