I had to make some changes to your ebuild and initd.
Primarily I moved the files from /usr/local to /usr, I also changed the WNNUSER
to "root", so that we don't have to add then delete user "wnn" during emerge.
Can you test this out for me?

Sorry, forgot to mention that the attachment is a tar.gz and contains all the files needed to emerge - just unpack to /usr/portage/app-i18n FreeWnn added to portage tree. To use Kinput2 with FreeWnn, please add "freewnn" to USE ie USE="freewnn" emerge kinput2 or add to /etc/make.conf |
