pmud, which is responsible for snooze operations on Apple PowerBooks, dies with
no error message immediately after invocation. running pmud with the -d option
reveals the following:

localhost root # pmud -d
pmud[pid]: pmud [threshold = 420, margin = 15] started
pmud[pid]: opening /dev/adb
pmud[pid]: opening /dev/pmu
pmud[pid]: fcntl(F_SETFL)
pmud[pid]: daemon stopped (fcntl(F_SETFL))

This is a kernel problem as reverting back to -r3 it works fine.

Fixed with 2.4.19-r6
