Amarok uses phonon for sound output. Therefore this is most likely a phonon issue and not a amarok issue. As you say you use the xine backend and that is on maintenance mode only, I fear it's unlikely this issue will be fixed. I see you also mention flac files. I'll have to search but I think we had a bug about flac files and xine backend. I suggest you try to get vlc working with jack as that is probably your best option. In any case, this is most likely an upstream bug, so we'll have to open a bug on KDE bugzilla about this. The flac bug I was thinking about is bug 327739. This is about seeking on flac files, so shouldn't be related to this issue. A quick search in the KDE bug tracker provides the following list of bugs for phonon + xine: https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=phonon+xine Try running the following so we can get more debug information: $ export PHONON_XINE_DEBUG=1 $ amarok --nofork $ export PHONON_XINE_DEBUG=1 $ amarok --nofork -- Additional information does not appear. Only "jack_client_thread zombified - exiting from JACK". Maybe I have a problem with the hardware, since I have NVIDIA MCP51 chip. Sometimes disk controller strongly blocking I/O. At gentoo.ru say the problem is in the kernel, associated with I/O schedulers or something else. I have compiled CFQ scheduler and Preemptible (Low-Latency Desktop). Sorry for my English. Thanks. Which phonon version do you have? (In reply to comment #4) > Which phonon version do you have? At the time of sending the report 4.4.4. Now the world is updated, 4.5.0. Waiting for the Jack server 0.120.1 and the Phonon 4.5.0. Once installed I will test and write the result here. Problem not solved after world update. Can you test with phonon-4.5.1? |
