yeah, same problems here, but got it working like this: USE="-usb" emerge sane-backends Well, I need USB support. I masked the last version locally, and I am currently using the version befor (which works). Johnny you can choose whether or not to use a backend by uncommenting it in dll.conf in /etc/sane.d That's how I solved it. The sane developers said that the brother backend is not official anyway... new version released |
