Description Gregg Casillo 2003-12-15 21:32:38 UTC
I have 0.9.8 installed and working, but when attempting to emerge alsa-tools-1.0.0_rc2, I consistently get an "Error 1" in the same vain as that mentioned in this thread: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=48169&highlight=envy24control+alsa+compile. I tried removing gtk and gtk2 support from use USE flags with "-gtk -gtk2" but no dice, nothing changed. I am compiling with gcc-3.3.2-r4 with the following CFLAGS: "-march=i686 -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer". The machine is a P2-300 with 128MB of RAM.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Compile fails with Error 1 and several warnings and errors listed noting
envy24control.c.

Expected Results:
Successful emerge of alsa-tools-1.0.0_rc2.

for alsa-tools-1.0.0_rc2 you need alsa-driver-1.0.0_rc2
