virtual/tftp
   packages:
      net-ftp/atftp
      net-ftp/netkit-tftp
      net-ftp/tftp-hpa

Nothing in the tree depends on virtual/tftp, so I'd suggest that the virtual is removed entirely.

Doesn't make much sense to keep it only for some of the packages. Virtual removed from profiles and from packages' PROVIDEs.

atftp is slated for removal in bug 323883 anyway.

Removing the virtual/tftp now causes a problem with ltsp-server from the layman area, which depends on it.  I suggest you add this back in.

The overlay is free to maintain it's own virtual, or just list the dependencies.   Not really a problem for the main tree.
