The release notes:
'New in this release is support for uploading and Participation Level emulation. The later should make downloading work better since we are no longer treated with lowest priority.
There have also been some memleaks and small bugs which were fixed so upgrading is recommended for that alone.'

The plugin builds and runs without any problems here. I just copied the ebuild from 0.8.4 and it worked out of the box.
