glibc build log - the one that failed
The work directory changed (...build-default-i686... to ...build-x86-i686...), and it tried/failed to build the 64-bit version.
I have the same issue. problem seems fixed, but we need to do the first emerge with the newer crossdev confirmed it works : upgrade crossdev to 20110310 crossdev -t armv7a-unknown-linux-gnueabi emerge cross-armv7a-unknown-linux-gnueabi/glibc it works ! I can confirm, this is now working with the new crossdev. I did have to purge the parts that had been installed prior to cross-*/glibc, but it worked on running crossdev again. Thanks! This seems to have fixed the issue for me. Thanks! I'd like to suggest that this bug be reopened as it is still causing issues. When attempting to update cross-i686-pc-linux-gnu/glibc because of the 2.6.38 headers, I was again greeted with failure. In a nutshell, that tells me that one (or more) of the files that control the configuration of cross-i686-pc-linux-gnu/glibc is incorrect. My guess is one of the devs knows better than I where all this stuff hides. I looked around a bit, but wasn't sure of what I was looking for. I am betting that others are still having this issue as well. I've found when my systems aren't up to proper working order, there are others who are having the same issues. So, I think it might be a good thing to figure out what's really wrong and fixing it. Hopefully, I have just pointed out something that you folks have missed. For all those reasons, I'd like to reopen this bug so it can get proper resolution. (In reply to comment #13) Can you check that your problem is not related to bug #359509 ? As I see, it is your case : > checking for i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc... x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc Wrong CC is detected No, I cannot confirm that. If the fix from the bug mentioned is in portage, then no, I still remain unable to recompile cross-i686-pc-linux-gnu/glibc. That particular bug is a bit unclear to me anyway. Considering that my cross compilation still works, and is used daily, I am not really hot on the idea of nuking it all and then finding out that I still can't get cross-i686-pc-linux-gnu/glibc to compile. Then I'm out my entire crossdev toolchain. If there is a cure in portage, then I'd like to know. I'm getting tired of this not working. seek assistance in the forums/mailing list. bugzilla is not for user questions. *** Bug 360991 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 361829 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 406643 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
