Bug 357799 – www-servers/apache-2.2.16: hangs after some time if mpm_worker is used

If i use the apache MPM_worker with php threads. I face the problem, that the server stops responding after some time. The actual time depends on the usage of the webpages. I can reproduce the problem within a minute.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. /etc/init.d/apache2 start
2. heavily surf over a php enabled website
3. no apache response anymore
Actual Results:  
apache freeze

Expected Results:  
apache should run fine, or portage should issue warnings if a unstable setup is used.

Please tell us if this is still an issue with 2.2.21-r1 so I could start working on this?
