On the website for installing gentoo it is mentioned that you can select between different cron daemons. But when I try to use emerge --usepkg vixie-cron I get a message that there is no entry for that package.

vcron has been renamed to vixie-cron within the last days. If you'd like to use
GRP packages during your installation you should use 'emerge --usepkg vcron'.

Quote from the Handbook:
"Note: If you are installing Gentoo using the prebuild packages, you should use
vcron instead of vixie-cron in case vixie-cron fails."
