Since CONFIG_IDE is marked as DEPRECATED in 2.6.37 (latest stable gentoo-/hardened-sources) and has been for some time at least on x86/x86_64, maybe it is time to remove it from the default configuration for at least those arch? @reporter: ar workaround is to use "genkernel all --menuconfig" and unmark "Device drivers -> ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support (DEPRECATED)". Patch now in Git: http://git.overlays.gentoo.org/gitweb/?p=proj/genkernel.git;a=commitdiff;h=4392bc93ab7f7f5858451d1cb72e7c9da1efee26 Thanks for reporting! *** Bug 377647 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
