The current version of the dump package is 0.4b43.  Gentoo's app-arch/dump-0.4.42 is still keyworded, and corresponds to version 0.4b42.  IMHO it should be stabilized, especially as it's the version which supports ext4, and that's now rather common.

See also bug #370637. It doesn't affect 0.4.42 it seems.

we already have 0.4.44-r1 stable, so, closed.
