Description Tavin Cole 2003-12-13 01:34:12 UTC
when emerging xfree-drm-4.3.0-r6, it looks for the kernel sources at /usr/src/linux. there should be a way to override this with an alternate location, e.g.:

LINUXDIR=~/build/linux-2.4.23 emerge xfree-drm

maybe it shouldn't even look for /usr/src/linux at all, since the kernel developers have deprecated the practice of keeping the sources there

Reproducible: Always

sorry, the current way to specify the kernel source is using that symlink ( /usr/src/linux -> your/kernel/wierdly/placed ).

please refer to the forum/mailing list for a in depth explanation for that.
