Sorry to say this but you've been bitten by a bug and will have some problems sorting it out. libiconv overwrites files from glibc, and breaks other things by being subtly incompatible with glibc. thats what you met now.. emerge -C libiconv emerge glibc And you should have a go, except that some libraries will link to the libiconv that was there when they were built, and not there now.. Those will have to be traced down to solve this. i think "gal" was one of those (broke evolution) |
