Description Jon Gerdes 2011-02-24 22:12:18 UTC
I noticed this slide by just now:

>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking bind-9.7.3.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/net-dns/bind-9.7.3/work
>>> Unpacking bind-geoip-1.3-readme.txt to /var/tmp/portage/net-dns/bind-9.7.3/work
unpack bind-geoip-1.3-readme.txt: file format not recognized. Ignoring.
>>> Unpacking bind-geoip-1.3-9.7.2-P2.patch to /var/tmp/portage/net-dns/bind-9.7.3/work
unpack bind-geoip-1.3-9.7.2-P2.patch: file format not recognized. Ignoring.
>>> Source unpacked in /var/tmp/portage/net-dns/bind-9.7.3/work
>>> Preparing source in /var/tmp/portage/net-dns/bind-9.7.3/work/bind-9.7.3 ...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge bind

Actual Results:
Error in patching

Expected Results:
No error

I have reproduced this on another ~amd64 machine:

cat /usr/portage/metadata/timestamp

So I suspect its current.

Sorry, this might help:

[ebuild R ] net-dns/bind-9.7.3 USE="berkdb geoip ipv6 ldap ssl xml -dlz -doc -gssapi -idn -mysql -odbc -postgres -resolvconf (-selinux) -threads -urandom"
Comment 2 Christian Ruppert (idl0r) gentoo-dev 2011-02-25 11:31:26 UTC
There is no error.

"unpack bind-geoip-1.3-readme.txt: file format not recognized. Ignoring."
That just means it's not compressed so no need to unpack it -> Ignored.

Please attach your build.log and reopen this bug if you think there are errors.
