Description Fabio Erculiani (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-02-16 13:04:14 UTC
Since the list of colliding files is very small, it would be nice to tweak the install path for those and make openoffice and libreoffice live happily together.
Let me attach the file list.

Reproducible: Always

We are not going to maintain further updates of app-office/openoffice (basically because libreoffice is the direct successor to what we had as the ooo-build based openoffice in the tree anyway) so I don't see much use in investing time for that. Also I've tried parallel install and its really not just about a few files, both apps interfere with each other in unfortunate and quite unpredictable ways guess it has something to do with them still being very similar infrastructurewise.

So not going to take that for now, maybe a bit later (when the basic problems are gone), but then only in regards to openoffice-bin.

Ok, that sounds even better! Can't wait to see OOo retired from the tree.
