There is a small 'debate' about this bit, pending your results we will add somehting to the xfce guide. I've installed sudo and gave my user account ALL access. I didn't even have to re-login, the logout buttons were working perfectly (problem disappeared). When I clicked "restart" it asked me for my password and then rebooted as expected. Now I'm going to test Samuli's forums guide. Ideally I'd like to get it to work without sudo. One thing to note is that when ConsoleKit support is enabled, XFCE will no longer use sudo for restart, even if it's possible. Is it possible to make this documentation more official?
