first I got:
/usr/lib64/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:779:in `report_activate_error': Could not find RubyGem mocha (>= 0.9.7) (Gem::LoadError)
during tests. After installing mocha I got exactly the same failure as in bug #319241

Portage 2.1.9.25 (default/linux/powerpc/ppc64/10.0/64bit-userland/desktop, gcc-4.5.2, glibc-2.11.2-r3, 2.6.36-gentoo-r5 ppc64)

I assume you have Rails 3 installed on this system as well?

powermac media-plugins # qlist -Iv actionpack
dev-ruby/actionpack-2.3.10
powermac media-plugins # eselect rails list
Available Ruby on Rails versions:
  [1]   rails-2.3.10 *

I guess that means no. Nota bene none of those pkgs (actionpack cerberus) have rails as dependency, I've installed rails manually.

Should I check with rails-3.0.3?

Same failure now with rails-2.3.11 and actionpack-2.3.11

The same fixes that got applied to actionpack 2.3.10 are also applied to actionpack 2.3.11. Please provide a new log file for 2.3.11.

I can't seem to reproduce this. Can you verify that the rails-related dependencies are installed when you get this error:

activesupport-2.3.11
activerecord-2.3.11
actionmailer-2.3.11

Please reopen if this problem is still present for actionpack 2.3.14.
