Just for interest: Do you have a specific reason to emerge python-2.6.5 and not upgrade to python-2.7.1 with Prefix ?

Actually I have both 2.6 and 2.7 branches installed. I honestly can't remember why the 2.6 branch got in, but I believe that yes, I had a good reason.

That's not a blocker for me though, just need to add a --keep-going when updating @world.

Do you usually do '--depclean' after that?

Eventually the 2.6 will go then...

This was an unfortunate mistake. I knew anything higher than 2.6.5-r2 fails to
apply most of our prefix patches (hooray for just backports of fixes), hence
the 2.6 branch in prefix is frozen at 2.6.5-r2. People should be using 2.7,
unless they have good reasons not to.

2.6.5-r2 is back in place now, thanks for the report.
