Please find attached an ebuild for the jasper library providing jpeg2000 support.
I've created it to support GraphicsMagick Bug#35278 but could also be used with ImageMagick and others.

The source is http://www.ece.uvic.ca/~mdadams/jasper/

I suggest media/libs for this one

Sorry, I did not see this ebuild before I wrote my own... please test the version which will be in portage soon. To the graphics herd: Would be nice if you would take this package, currently I've assigned it to myself/the "sci" herd because it's a requirement for OpenDX.
