Description David Salib 2003-12-07 15:48:39 UTC
When I try to access psaux the keyboard locks I have an asus a7v v1.03 motherboard.

I am certain that my build options are correct. I gave up and I'm using a usb adapter.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.build kernel
2.startx with configuration that worked with the previous kernel.
or
startx with any reference to the device the mouse is supposed to be connected to.
3.
Actual Results:
X starts, keyboard locks, mouse does not respond.

Expected Results:
X starts, I start working

I had nothing else running but my build :

make dep && make clean bzImage modules modules_install
cp arch/i386/boot/bzImage /boot
cp System.map /boot/System.map

reboot

startx

is your XF86config correct?
Comment 2 Sven Vermeulen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-07 22:34:40 UTC
Please assign to the kernel development team (x86@gentoo.org didn't seem to work).

We're going to need a little more info to be able to help out with this one.
Maybe some hardware specs and an attached .config to start. What is freezing?
x, your whole computer, etc?

if things still aren't working for you, reopen
(p.s. I'm uploading gentoo-sources-2.4.22-r4 now, so you may want to try it)
