Bug 351869 – media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc4_p20091026-r1: mencoder ignores x264encopts bitrate parameter

The mencoder present in media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc4_p20091026-r1 ignores the "-x264encopts bitrate=" parameter in commands such as this:

mencoder test.mpg -oac mp3lame -ovc x264 -o out1.avi -x264encopts bitrate=2800  -ss 0:07 -endpos 53:00

The output file from that command had a video bitrate of 399 kbit/s.

Upgrading to media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc4_p20101219 solves the problem.  Using the same command line with the mencoder present in media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc4_p2010121, the output file has a video bitrate of 2854.637 kbit/s.
