The problem lies in non-existant packages. MY_PV=3.1.94 SRC_URI="mirror://kde/unstable/${MY_PV}/src/${PN}-${MY_PV}.tar.bz2" However, /3.1.94/ directory does not exist on KDE's site or any of it's mirror sites. This causes a download failure at the most basic level. Possible resolution: Unless KDE has only just changed there directory tree layout, then testing of ebuilds before submitting them to the portage tree would perhaps be a good idea :) Please feel free to correct me if I have missed something obvious.
