Did you try the rc5 LiveCD? The gentoo-sparc64-1.4_rc5 ISO image should fix this problem. Please test and report back if/when you get a chance. The new RC5 CD boots the SMP kernel properly now. Tested on a Sun Ultra 60 with dual 360Mhz processors and 512 megs of ram. On a lighter note: after the "Gentoo Linux: http://www.gentoo.org" message during init, your copyright message only goes from 2001-2002. Isn't this 2003, soon to be 2004? Thanks for testing. Weeve, change the Copyright :) IMO we should remove the < rc5 LiveCD's from the Mirrors. |
