PORTDIR_OVERLAY="... /var/lib/layman/gnome ...". Thank you. libnotify-0.4.5 is the latest version in the tree. libnotify-0.5.2 is in the gnome overlay. notification-daemon-0.5.0 (also in gnome overlay) is compatible with libnotify-0.5.2. However, it has been hard masked, which is probably why portage isn't upgrading to it. I suggest masking x11-libs/libnotify-0.5.2 or unmasking x11-misc/notification-daemon-0.5.0. |
I have had the following blocker in ~amd64 portage for the past week or so: !!! One or more updates have been skipped due to a dependency conflict: x11-libs/libnotify:0 (x11-libs/libnotify-0.5.2, ebuild scheduled for merge) conflicts with ~x11-libs/libnotify-0.4.5 required by (x11-misc/notification-daemon-0.4.0-r1, installed) To my knowledge, I don't have either of these packages unmasked ahead of upstream portage.
