A proper backtrace would be needed: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/qa/backtraces.xml I compiled gnome-mplayer with the -ggdb compile flag and repeated the crash. But when I run gnome-mplayer I can't get a backtrace since gnome-mplayer don't close. It stays in a locked state. I've discovered that gnome-mplayer locks up only when the sound is muted. 1. Try gnome-mplayer-1.0.3 instead. 2. If 1. doesn't work, report this here: http://code.google.com/p/gnome-mplayer/issues/list 3. Provide a link to the upstream bug at the URL field. Thanks. I had completely forgotten about this bug report. gnome-mplayer-1.0.3 works fine. good, no more to do here then |
