Those contents indeed are missing major parts of the program. One thing to note is that language support with ximian-openoffice seems to be currently broken. Ok.. after ~20 hours of compiling.. Have you been able to solve the problem in the meantime? Did one of the newer versions help? Did you try it without estonian language support? Did you try with plain openoffice? Also I want to emphasise, that we need a build log to find out why not all necessary parts are being built for you. So: Could you provide one and attach it to the bug? Anyway: Estonian language support is not in the "official" Ximian-build system for OpenOffice.org, so I think we should remove it from the ebuild (and maybe even from plain OpenOffice.org) No, no, no and no :( I'm currently building app-office/openoffice-ximian-1.1.47.3 When this is finished (almost 24 hours already) i'll try again building Estonian localized OO.o and then i'll submit the build log here or as new bug. How can I make a build log? I had the same problem with OO-Ximian-1.1.47.3, built without language support except english. the /opt/OpenOffice-Ximian directory had just a 'user' directory and the program directory was missing completely. emerge openoffice-ximian >output.log 2>&1 In response to Comment #7 Just to clear it up: You mean OpenOffice-Ximian did not build with any language support except english? Not even german? Anyway, a build log would be great, otherwise I can just guess, as it works for me I merged the ebuild once - with german suppport -> /opt/OpenOffice-Ximian/program was missing completely - without german, just plain english normal ebuild :) -> program dir was missing completely also anyway, iam building it now with a log, ill attach it later dont ask me why... it works now, I built it the same way like the 2 times before

maybe the setup needs to be in X11 for some strage reason? it looks like that setup wanted to start an X session
Well, dunno about these libGL errors. But i need to restart X after this to be able to use direct rendering. My guess is that this is a problem with virtualmake, there is now a new version of 1.1.49.2 in portage, which aims to solve it, could you please try out (under the same circumstances where it failed before) and report? Well, it compiles fine now, and works too :D Though the menus are still in English after fiddling with locale settings... :( I know that Estonian language i18n reached 100%, maybe it just isn't available in official package. I'll investigate further. Thanks, Andreas. Did you emerge it also with LANGUAGE="ESTONIAN" emerge openoffice-ximian this time, and you still don't get localized menus? If yes: Estonian is not under the officially supported languages in Ximian-Openoffice, so I think for the moment we will have to remove it from the supported languages list in the ebuild... sorry, hopefully it will come back in soon again... Another idea: Did you try to start it with LANG="estonian" oowriter (or similar). Does that change anything for you? amd@Decoder amd $ LANG="estonian" oowriter I18N: X Window System doesn't support locale "estonian" Well, i think that removing Estonian language support from ebuild is not relevant. It should just stay there. Anyway, i'll try find out the differences between the localized source (which is available from the OO.o-et website)and the official source and try to submit a patch if i get something done. The original bug is resolved with recent versions of openoffice-ximian so closing this |
