This is off-thread, but as this bug is a duplicate:

I always search first to prevent duplicates, but a query for "tk-8.5.9" in the summary didn't and doesn't yield any results. A bug? Whom to tell?

Not a bug. The search for bugs doesn't search closed bugs by default. For that you would have to do "ALL tk-8.5.9" in the search box. I guess this is pretty clear from the homepage of bugs.gentoo.org: "When searching for duplicate bugs, closed bugs or using multiple search terms, prefix your entry with 'ALL' (not suffix)." ;)

IC, thanks for the hint!

I've never come across the homepage because I've bookmarked the search and submit form and used the "Step 1 of 3 - has your bug already been reported?" to look for duplicates until now. Maybe a similar note there could prevent duplicates.

File a new bug/request for improved wording.
