*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 347705 *** I tried the solution on bug #340775 without success, so it cant be the same bug... sorry for the typo, I meant bug #347705 emerged successfully dev-python/sip-4.11.2 ... emerge tentative of dev-python/PyQt4-4.8.1 failed... similar to bug #344513... The solution proposed there I had no clue how to apply... If rebuilding sip and PyQt4 didn't fixed your issue and you think it's related to bug 344513, then show the full build log for the latest failure. Created attachment 256479 [details]

revdep-rebuild does not complain about this. The current PyQt4 installed on my system is the library itself before the Python 2.7 upgrade...
If you updated to python-2.7 recently, you'll have to run python-updater to get all packages updated to it. I did ran python-updater (1st step mentioned to reproduce the bug), and no luck... * ERROR: dev-python/PyQt4-4.8.1 failed: * Building failed with CPython 2.7 in python_default_function() function * * Call stack: * ebuild.sh, line 56: Called src_compile * environment, line 4743: Called python_src_compile * environment, line 4605: Called python_execute_function '-d' '-s' '--' * environment, line 3450: Called die * The specific snippet of code: * die "${failure_message}"; * * If you need support, post the output of 'emerge --info =dev-python/PyQt4-4.8.1', * the complete build log and the output of 'emerge -pqv =dev-python/PyQt4-4.8.1'. * The complete build log is located at '/var/tmp/portage/dev-python/PyQt4-4.8.1/temp/build.log'. * The ebuild environment file is located at '/var/tmp/portage/dev-python/PyQt4-4.8.1/temp/environment'. * S: '/var/tmp/portage/dev-python/PyQt4-4.8.1/work/PyQt-x11-gpl-4.8.1' * Messages for package kde-base/pykde4-4.5.4: * ERROR: kde-base/pykde4-4.5.4 failed: * died running make install, base_src_install * * Call stack: * ebuild.sh, line 56: Called src_install * environment, line 6421: Called kde4-meta_src_install * environment, line 4011: Called kde4-base_src_install * environment, line 3593: Called cmake-utils_src_install * environment, line 1749: Called _execute_optionaly 'src_install' * environment, line 743: Called enable_cmake-utils_src_install * environment, line 2176: Called base_src_install * environment, line 1389: Called die * The specific snippet of code: * emake DESTDIR="${D}" "$@" install || die "died running make install, $FUNCNAME"; * * If you need support, post the output of 'emerge --info =kde-base/pykde4-4.5.4', * the complete build log and the output of 'emerge -pqv =kde-base/pykde4-4.5.4'. * The complete build log is located at '/var/tmp/portage/kde-base/pykde4-4.5.4/temp/build.log'. * The ebuild environment file is located at '/var/tmp/portage/kde-base/pykde4-4.5.4/temp/environment'. * S: '/var/tmp/portage/kde-base/pykde4-4.5.4/work/pykde4-4.5.4' * Messages for package media-tv/xbmc-9.11-r5: * Visit http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=XBMC_Online_Manual * * The following 2 packages have failed to build or install: * * (dev-python/PyQt4-4.8.1, ebuild scheduled for merge), Log file: * '/var/tmp/portage/dev-python/PyQt4-4.8.1/temp/build.log' * (kde-base/pykde4-4.5.4, ebuild scheduled for merge), Log file: * '/var/tmp/portage/kde-base/pykde4-4.5.4/temp/build.log' Ok... I managed to apply the patch on PyQt4 shown on bug 344513 and PyQt4 compiled... I believe that solved the issue on pykde4... Just started to compile it and will post the results later on, must go to work now... Ok, I applied the patch on PyQt4-4.8.1 present on bug #344513 and finally solved. So this is indeed a duplicate bug #347705, causing this to be solved emerging sip and PyQt4. Sorry for the noise. Thanks for looking into the issue. I'm reopening the bug to close with appropriate resolution. As your bug was caused by PyQt4 failing to build against x11-libs/qt-opengl[egl], I'm closing this bug as a dupe of that bug. Rebuilding sip and PyQt4 to get pykde4 is just part of the process, not a "solution". *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 344513 *** |
