Last time I've tried it worked fine on amd64 starting with 3.2.7 (previous versions were partially broken too). So may be this is arch specific problem. Nevertheless, could you report this problem upstream and besides information you provided here, attach debug output there, please: http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Debugging_Ekiga Thanks! Hi Peter, I have just reported this problem to the Ekiga folks together with the debug output. I'll update you when they respond. Victor, could you post a link to bug report here, so we could follow it too, please? Hi Peter, I reported the bug via their mailing list ekiga-list@gnome.org, so I don't have a link yet. Maybe they'll send me a link when they look at my report and triage it? Hi, I have an update. The sound is fine, apparently I had too many sound codecs enabled. The problem that remains, and this looks like a PPC big-endian thing, is that the video is divided into vertical stripes, each of which is reversed left-to-right, as if viewed through a Fresnell lens. I'm waiting on them for an answer to this. I am unable to take a screenshot with gnome-screenshot or gimp, as the video area appears black. Any suggestions? Victor I've uploaded a picture of the screen here, http://baldur.no-ip.org/ekiga-video.jpg Victor, please, attach screenshot here. Link is already dead. But in any case I guess with this issue you'll have to ping upstream. Any progress there? (In reply to comment #7) > Victor, please, attach screenshot here. Link is already dead. But in any case I > guess with this issue you'll have to ping upstream. Any progress there? I've long since given up on PPC and no longer have the screenshot, sorry. I can tell you, however, that the Ekiga folks said they'd look into the issue but never said anything else about it. Ok, then I'll close this bug as UPSTREAM in hope that this is/was fixed there or until somebody else has similar problem. |
